HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - A former assistant basketball coach at Clinton Christian Academy pled guilty to sex crimes involving a 14-year-old student-athlete under his supervision.

Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens announced Willie Alexander, Jr., 50, pled guilty to sexual battery and two counts of exploitation of a minor.

On June 14, 2022, the victim's mother reported to Clinton police that her son disclosed ongoing sexual abuse by Alexander. The student-athlete reported that the abuse had been ongoing for several months at Alexander's Clinton home.
