Pro golfer Phil Mickelson is calling out the U.S. justice system after a North Carolina father took on lawmakers over his daughter’s senseless killing.

The father, Stephen Federico, demanded stricter penalties for criminals during a congressional hearing on Monday.

His daughter, Logan, was visiting friends in South Carolina when “career criminal” Alexander Dickey allegedly broke into her rental home on May 3 and shot and killed her before going on a “shopping spree” with her credit cards.

Prior to the alleged murder, Dickey had been arrested 39 times on 25 felonies.

Federico noted: “When they saw his face on the video, they didn’t have to do a check. He was arrested so many times they knew who he was.”
