Police have seized several firearms and equipment used to make handguns full automatic from a 16-year-old, the Fort Wayne Police Department said today.
The department used the recent incident as an example of how investigators are committed to stopping youth gun violence.
"The Fort Wayne Police Department is very serious about ending youth violence in our community," the Facebook post said. "This includes getting guns out of the hands of our youth."
The guns were seized after the department's Gang and Violent Crimes Unit learned a local teen illegally possessed firearms. The investigation led to search warrants.
Police seized two handguns, an AR pistol, an AR upper, high-capacity magazines, 300 rounds of ammunition and a 3D printer used to convert Glock handguns into full automatic wea
