LEXINGTON, S.C. — A Lexington County man is facing a fentanyl-induced homicide charge following a fatal overdose tied to drugs allegedly sold from his West Columbia home earlier this summer.

Bradford Wayne Jovanelly, 46, was formally charged Sept. 22, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators allege Jovanelly sold fentanyl to two individuals in July, one of whom died days later from an overdose.

“Based on the information agents gathered during their investigation, Jovanelly knowingly and unlawfully sold fentanyl to two people in July,” said Sheriff Jay Koon in a statement. “Law enforcement became aware of this after one of the people died a few days later of an overdose, which was investigated by the Lexington Police Department.”
