Trump Announces He’s ‘Reached a Deal’ With Harvard After Months-Long Feud With University

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced his administration had “reached a deal” with Harvard University after months of feuding.

Early on in his second term, Trump sought to remove diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by threatening to pull federal funding from any entity that makes use of them. That also went for universities across the country.

Trump also tried to quell anti-Israel speech on college campus, which he conflated with anti-Semitism and pro-Hamas speech.
