Syracuse, N.Y. – He was, said Adrian Autry, one of the most positive people he’d ever encountered.
Syracuse’s head basketball coach on Tuesday mourned the loss of Lawrence Moten, a teammate, friend and longtime fixture of the Orange program.
Autry was Moten’s teammate for three seasons in the early 1990s. He was stunned to learn of his passing.
“You know Lawrence. He was super-positive, loving, great teammate, brother,” Autry said. “I don’t think you could find a more positive person, a more positive teammate than him.
“He bled orange. He wanted to win every game. He loved it. He loved the university. He loved competing. You don’t find a lot of super-positive people like him.”
