LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two new vehicles will be on downtown streets to help Metro Police increase safety in the area.
The Metro Police Foundation unveiled high visibility vehicles that will provide patrol officers a way to remain visible to downtown residents, workers, convention-goers and tourists.
Unlike traditional police cruisers, the vehicles will be exclusively used downtown to cover territory more efficiently.
"We were able to get these 100% funded, at no cost to the city, and equip these officers to go out and do their job even better and safer and with more community. What kid doesn't like to walk up to something like that?
