The St. Benedict’s Prep soccer star who grabbed a photographer by the throat during a wild post-game melee Saturday night has been suspended indefinitely by the school from all team activities, NJ Advance Media has learned.

The player, junior forward Amadou Hann , will not be permitted to practice or play in games while he serves his suspension. No timeline has been provided for when Hann may return to the team.

St. Benedict’s headmaster Rev. Edwin Leahy also condemned Hann’s actions Saturday, saying that “whatever Amadou did was absolutely wrong as far as I am concerned.”

“I don’t know all of what he did,” Leahy added. “All I know is that I’ve gotten stories from different people. There’s no business doing that stuff.”
