A reporter’s question to President Donald Trump last week about 2026 FIFA World Cup matches seemed to strike a chord with the president.
The question was whether World Cup games could be relocated if certain U.S. host cities, including Seattle and San Francisco, don’t cooperate with the Trump administration’s policies on immigration and crime.
“I guess, but we’re going to make sure they’re safe,” Trump said at first.
He then added: “They’re run by radical left lunatics that don’t know what they’re doing.”
