The new season of Monster hasn’t premiered yet, but Ryan Murphy is already looking for more gruesome stories to tell.

The executive producer behind Netflix ‘s hit true-crime anthology tells Variety that he’s already decided against doing a season about serial killer Ted Bundy. His reason? He doesn’t see a way to connect Bundy’s heinous acts to a larger social commentary. “When you look at those crimes, what are the themes there?” Murphy asks. “It doesn’t ask you any questions about society.”
