SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Starting Wednesday, the RV site inside Isla Blanca Park will be closed to the public for a year-long renovation project.

The $14 million renovation project will address electrical, water, and sewer services, which are expected to benefit nearly 600 RVs stationed inside the park.

The project is also expected to bring additional space for more RVs in the future.

Cameron County Parks Director Joe Vega says only the RV site inside Isla Blanca Park will be closed.

Amenities inside the park, including the beach, boat ramps, shoreline fishing, jetties, and the Cameron County Amphitheater, will remain open to the public during the renovations.
