With the Calgary Flames reassigning seven players to their AHL affiliate, the Wranglers, and placing four more on waivers for the purpose of reassignment, Tuesday afternoon marked the first time  one group was skating at practice during training camp this year.

And it gave us a look at what shape the opening-night roster might take.

With two pre-season games left on the schedule, starting Wednesday night against the Vancouver Canucks at the Saddledome (7 p.m., Sportsnet 360/Sportsnet 960 The Fan), the next three days will determine who starts the year in the NHL and who heads down to the AHL.
