A south Alabama jury sentenced a man to death after finding him guilty for the murders of two people in 2021.
Jesse McClure was convicted on two counts of capital murder, attempted murder and animal cruelty.
On Jan. 3, 2021, McClure busted into the home of George Delaney, 30, and fatally shot him and George Snyder, 45.
McClure also shot Kerry Mahoney and her dog resulting in the pet dying.
Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said his office asked the jury to consider sentencing McClure to death.
“This was not an easy decision for the jury, and we recognize the weight of what they were asked to do,” Blackwood said.
“They carefully considered the evidence and the law, and in the end, their decision reflects justice based on the facts and circumstances of the case.”
