Lou Koller, the co-founder and longtime vocalist of New York hardcore band Sick Of It All, has announced that his cancer has returned just four months after celebrating being declared cancer-free.

In a video message posted on Tuesday, Koller informed followers about the setback in his battle with adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, which was first diagnosed in June 2024.

“Unfortunately the cancer has come back, and he’s brought some friends with him,” Koller said in the video. “I was having a really hard time with my recovery. I was having a tough time gaining weight and keeping food down, so I had some scans done and sure enough, he’s back.”
