On Tuesday at 7:29 p.m. an updated coastal flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Ocean, Atlantic and Burlington counties.
"Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways," says the weather service. "Minor coastal flooding may linger beyond the time of high tide Wednesday evening in the back bays of Ocean County."
"At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible," describes the weather service. "A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Us
