One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting in south Fort Collins early Sept. 30.

Fort Collins police responded to the shooting in the 100 block of West Fairway Lane about 2:20 a.m., according to a news release from Fort Collins Police Services.

When officers arrived they located one person dead and another person injured. The injured person was transported to the hospital.

According to the news release, "all involved individuals knew each other," but police have not identified either of the individuals reportedly shot as of 5 p.m. Sept. 30.
