SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - On Tuesday, the Sioux Falls Police Department, along with city and county officials, led the semi-annual public safety briefing.

Data on types of crimes in the briefing included homicides, assaults, drugs, car thefts, and burglary statistics.

Police Chief Jon Thum explained stability in how many calls for service there had been and that there was also a decrease in domestic assault, stolen vehicles, and certain drugs seized compared to last year.

Meth and marijuana remain the two main drugs, but Narcan has significantly gone down.
