PEORIA, Ill (WMBD) -- A workshop to discuss the current state of the manufacturing industry was held Tuesday at Distillery Labs.

Held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Small Business Administration coordinated this workshop in collaboration with the Women's Small Business Development Center.

The initiative was created in order for small business owners in the manufacturing industry to network, collaborate and discuss the growth and development of workforce participants.

One of the topics of discussion was how to get more awareness to the manufacturing industry to more people in the area, such as an introduction to the industry at a younger age.
