CLALLAM COUNTY – The Clallam County Fire Marshal George Bailey has lifted the burn ban effective Wednesday, October 1.
Bailey said in a news release, “With the fall rains finally returning, it is appropriate to lift the burn ban at this time. I still want to remind everyone that ALL outside burning requires attendance and to have a fire protection backup plan in place to prevent wildfires i.e, water hose, extinguisher, water truck etc. Be smart and stay safe.”
Starting Wednesday, recreational fires, residential burns and permitted debris burns will be allowed.
Urban Growth areas, including Port Angeles, Sequim, Carlsborg, Forks, Joyce, Clallam Bay, and Sekiu, are restricted from outdoor debris burning, through Washington State law.
