SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —

Freemasons in Spartanburg are raising concerns about homelessness in the area after they say people have been sleeping and leaving their belongings on the property, while the city says there's an ongoing effort to address the issue.

Spartan Lodge #70 Secretary Judson Seay said this is not the first time they have encountered this issue, and they have had to clean up what has been left behind once before.

"We still have three or four or five at a time sleeping in here, not on this area, right here on our roof adjacent to the pocket park," Seay said.

Video captured on Tuesday captured shoes, blankets, and other items scattered around the temple's air conditioning units, as well as graffiti on the wall.
