A Queensland mother who was discovered dead at a suburban Brisbane Airbnb property along with her young daughter sent an alarming message before their bodies were found.

Tiffany Wilkes, aged 54, has been identified as the woman who was located deceased along with an 8-year-old girl at the address in Kenmore Hills on Monday after police were alerted in relation to a welfare check.

The sudden deaths, which are reportedly being treated as a suspected murder-suicide, remains under investigation.

The mother "told her colleague of her plan in a scheduled email", The Courier Mail has reported.

The colleague then notified police of the email, leading them to force their way into the Airbnb where they discovered the bodies of Tiffany and her daughter.
