Shohei Ohtani rudely greeted Hunter Greene in the Reds pitcher's first postseason start, lacing a leadoff homer in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series on Tuesday night.
The frozen rope came off Ohtani's bat at 117.7 mph and was his fourth postseason home run. He also hit a leadoff homer in Game 4 of the 2024 NLCS against the Mets at Citi Field. It is the fourth hardest-hit postseason home run tracked under Statcast (since 2015), coming in just behind that blast in Queens, which left the bat at 117.8 mph.
Ohtani set a single-season Dodgers franchise record with 55 homers in the regular season and is a frontrunner for his fourth MVP Award.
