CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Last week, Chesterfield Police were out and about at the intersection of Courthouse Road and Lucks Lane to catch drivers breaking the law.
Police were focusing on speeding, reckless driving, red light running, seat belt use, impaired driving, and mobile device use while driving.
On Sept. 26, police stopped a total of 85 vehicles. Officers issued 101 summonses and 12 written warnings for a wide variety of offenses.
85 mph was the highest speed of the day. Officials clocked it in a 45 mph zone. The driver was charged with reckless driving.
