FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Rogers native joined Team Reba on the latest episode of NBC's The Voice that aired on Sept. 30.

Leyton Robinson, 23, secured the spot on famed country singer Reba McEntire's team after singing the song "weren't for the wind" by Ella Langley.

According to a press release, Robinson's love for music was sparked by her grandfather, a guitarist in a Southern gospel quartet who introduced her to classic country. She began performing in school talent shows and choirs, eventually experimenting with songwriting and joining a party band in high school.

Robinson now lives in Nashville, performing four to five nights a week, including a residency at Tin Roof. She is also preparing to release original music.
