URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- It still feels like summer out, even though it's technically fall. People, pets and plants are all trying to keep cool and beat this heat.

If you have a green thumb, you may be wondering how to keep your fall plants alive during an especially dry September and with little relief in sight.

At Country Arbors Nursery, mums are the word. The annual perennial manager there, Julie Carlson, said that it's one of the driest Septembers she remembers.
