CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Eric Collins will get to call a different Charlotte sports team this weekend.

The Hornets TV play-by-play man known for his heightened enthusiasm and unique phrasing will be on the FOX broadcast for the Panthers game against the Dolphins Sunday, CSL confirmed. It will be Collins’ first NFL gig.

He will be joined at Bank of America Stadium by analyst Mark Schlereth and sideline reporter Jen Hale. The game kicks off at 1 p.m.

In addition to his role with FanDuel Sports, Collins and his Hornets partner Dell Curry also will be seen this year on NBA broadcasts on Amazon Prime. He's been the voice of Buzz City since 2015.

The Hornets first preseason game also is Sunday in North Charleston, South Carolina.
