An El Paso man accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to parked vehicles was arrested after a SWAT standoff at a Lower Valley apartment, police said.

Emilio Carrazco, 21, was arrested after an hours-long standoff that ended early Tuesday, Sept. 30, after it started Monday night when he refused to exit his home, stated a news release by Detective Judy Oviedo, a police spokeswoman.

The incident began when El Paso police responded to a call about 9:35 p.m. Monday about a man with a weapon who allegedly damaged vehicles in the parking lot of the Western Burgundy apartments, 815 Burgundy Drive near North Loop Drive, police reported. The type of weapon was not disclosed.
