FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Domestic Violence Awareness Month begins Wednesday, and the Marjaree Mason Center says this is a time to reflect and take a close look at the relationships around you.

"Look in the mirror and say what kind of person I am, what kind of partner am I being? And if we can all do that during the month of October, I think that's a win for everybody," Marjaree Mason Center CEO Nicole Linder said.

Each year, the nonprofit provides services to more than 8,500 adults and children across Fresno County.

"I think the number is indicative of the need. And I do truly believe it's greater than that number," Linder explained.

Over the past nine years, Linder has played a pivotal role in the organization's growth and in strengthening its impact across the community. O
