DENVER (KDVR) — Unless something changes soon, the federal government is set to shut down at 10 p.m. MT Tuesday.
Most of Colorado's congressional delegation spoke with FOX31 ahead of the potential shuttering.
A shutdown of the federal government is imminent and Colorado's congressional members say it may last long enough for people to feel it.
"If they have their benefits cut or paused, we can send them to other places to get food aid to get basic aid as well. This is something we unfortunately have some experience doing from prior shutdowns but this one is going to be far deeper and cut deeper than the prior ones," said Democratic Congressman Jason Crow.
