Federal and local investigators are seeking new information about the disappearance of a Massachusetts child 47 years ago.
The mother of Andrew Amato, a 4-year-old Webster boy, reported him missing on Sept. 30, 1978. The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday that it was offering up to $25,000 as a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

The FBI said Andrew was last seen by his 7-year-old sister and 6-year-old cousin in a wooded area next to the Ash Street Trailer Park. The children said they were on a trail near the highway that is now Interstate 395 when Andrew stumbled and dropped his toy, refusing to return home without it.
