The Orange County School Board voted on Tuesday to approve a proposed agreement to transfer the historic Hungerford property in Eatonville to Dr. Phillips Charities.

A contract between OCPS and Dr. Phillips Charities will follow, which will decide the fate of the 100-acre parcel, where the Robert Hungerford School was once located. The Town of Eatonville Council and residents will also provide input.

With the OCPS approval of the land agreement, the Town of Eatonville will now move forward with adopting its resident-designed master plan that centers on cultural preservation, green space, affordable housing, healthcare, education, and long-term economic development.
