METHUEN, Mass. (WWLP) - City officials announced Tuesday that three additional businesses have been ordered closed as part of Methuen’s widening crackdown on suspected human trafficking operations.

The new closings come just days after two businesses were shuttered, bringing the total number of closed establishments to five in less than a week.

Mayor D.J. Beauregard said cease-and-desist orders were issued by the Department of Health, Human Services, and Inspections to the following businesses: • Oriental Spa on Swan Street • Yellow Lilly Day Spa at 17 Baldwin St., Unit 6 • Lavender Spa at 17 Baldwin St., Unit 7
