ST. JOSEPH, Ind. (WNDU) - The St. Joseph County Police Department’s k9 officers are arguably safer Tuesday night.
American Legion Post 284 donated more than $4,000 of new protective gear for three of the department’s k-9s.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention the k9 cops by name.
Bullet, Rowdy and Roxy will receive new protective vests for their important work.
The American Legion believes in the importance of protecting these committed k9s.
“We’re using the finances and our members to go out into the community and find worthwhile causes to donate to and this year we picked the K9 unit for St. Joe County and we’re very happy to do that,” said Cecil Brummett Post Commander American Legion 284.
