A reckless 13-year-old from Arizona allegedly drove drunk and flipped a stolen pickup truck during a high-speed wrong-way joyride — that saw the steering wheel ripped clean off in the wreck.
The lawless teen, with an 11-year-old passenger, tore down Interstate-40 in Flagstaff at over 100 mph against traffic before crossing to the correct side, slamming into a guardrail, rolling the truck multiple times, and crashing into a tree around 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Police said the underage driver had a blood alcohol content of .183 — more than double the legal limit. 4
Photos of the wreck show the severely mangled white Chevy Silverado and its severed steering wheel, which snapped off as the truck tumbled and landed about 50 feet away.
