LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Nelson County man was arrested early Monday after deputies said he led them on a high-speed chase that reached more than 100 mph.

Deputies attempted to stop a Pontiac Grand Prix for speeding and careless driving around 12:58 a.m. Sept. 29. The driver refused to stop and fled south on New Haven Road, crossed Monks Road and continued onto New Hope Road, according to a post on the Nelson County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

The vehicle left the roadway at Tollgate Road, causing property damage, before stopping behind a house. After searching the area, deputies located the driver, Ryan K. Chesser, 28, and took him into custody.
