After being in effect for nearly six months, the city of Combes announced on Tuesday that the boil water notice has been rescinded.

The notice was lifted after the city reported that all the lab results on the city's water from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality confirmed the water quality meets all necessary compliance requirements.

"The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption," a news release from the city stated. "TCEQ laboratory test results indicate that the water no longer requiresa boiling prior to use."
