The Mill Creek Pink Out Tournament kicked off its fifth year of pitches, homeruns and raising funds for local breast cancer survivors.
All of the money raised by the five-day tournament will go back to Mahoning Valley residents fighting cancer; funds benefit Yellow Brick Place, a Youngstown cancer support center. Today's game opened by honoring several local cancer survivors, with one of them even throwing the first pitch.
Volunteers say participation over the years has only grown, with 16 more teams competing this year.
