Three people are now facing charges, including one man charged with murder, in connection with a fatal June shooting in the parking lot of a Dedham BJ’s, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

James Brown, 23, is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 1 in Norfolk Superior Court on charges of murder, armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a firearm, and carrying a firearm without a license, court documents show.

State Police and Dedham police determined that the shooting occurred “during a car meet-up coordinated via social media,” the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office said in a release.

State Police and Malden police apprehended Brown at his home in Malden on Sept. 25, prosecutors said.
