After a year away from the championship series, the Las Vegas Aces are back.
The Aces took down the Indiana Fever 107-98 in overtime of a tight winner-take-all Game 5 on Tuesday night to book their ticket to the WNBA Finals, where a matchup with the Phoenix Mercury awaits.
As she’s done all season long, four-time MVP A’ja Wilson led the way for Las Vegas, finishing with 35 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and four blocks. Microwave-scoring guard Jackie Young added 32 points and 10 assists.
Despite Wilson’s two-way superstardom and a 13-point third quarter, her efforts alone wouldn’t be enough. The Fever clawed back in the fourth, erasing a nine-point deficit to tie the game up in the final minute and force overtime.
Leading the way for Indiana was Odyssey Sims, who the
