SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Felisha Shellman says she wants someone to take responsibility for the repeated damage to her mother’s headstone at Bonaventure Cemetery.
“I want somebody to do something about it,” said Shellman. “I want Bonaventure to be responsible for it. She is here, this is her resting place.”
Before Shellman’s mother, Annell, died in 2019, her dying wish was to be buried at Bonaventure, a historic cemetery maintained by the city.
Shellman and her family visit the site regularly, and over the last few years they say they’ve watched the condition of Annell’s headstone decline.
