SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Back in August, both the 12U and 14U East Side softball teams captured titles at the Babe Ruth World Series.

It’s incredibly rare to see two teams not only from the same state but also from the same park achieve this level of success.

To celebrate their incredible achievement, a special ceremony was held at the park to honor the World Series champions.

During the event, the coaches presented their trophies and also unveiled a brand new entrance sign now displaying the team’s titles.

It was a memorable night for the players and a chance for the community to come together and recognize the hard work of these outstanding young athletes.
