Elon Musk is once again making news, this time for cancelling his Netflix subscription. The move comes after a controversy surrounding the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park and its creator, Hamish Steele, who called conservative activist Charlie Kirk a “nazi."
The series, adapted from Steele’s graphic novel DeadEndia, follows Barney, a transgender teen, and Norma, an autistic Pakistani-American girl, as they explore a haunted amusement park alongside Barney’s talking dog and a centuries-old demon. While the show is aimed at children, some of its episodes openly discuss transgender identity which has led to debates among parents and viewers about its suitability for a young audience.
