Jason Knight has suffered a tear in his adductor, which is expected to rule him out for the next few weeks, Gerhard Struber has confirmed, but the Bristol City boss hopes Rob Atkinson will be ready to feature against QPR this weekend.

City captain Knight missed the Robins' 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening, having been forced off late on against Preston North End last weekend. Atkinson gave the Reds the lead over Kieran McKenna's side when he headed home after 18 minutes, but Jack Clarke's second-half penalty ensured the points would be shared at Ashton Gate.
