New Delhi: Following the Indian men’s team’s refusal to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts at the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025, the Indian women’s team is expected to continue the ‘handshake snub’ in the ongoing ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in a group stage match in Colombo on Sunday, October 05.

Ahead of the encounter, a report in Telecom Asia Sport has claimed that the Pakistan women’s team is expecting the Indian team to carry on the ‘handshake boycott’ in the Women’s World Cup. As per the report, Pakistan’s team manager Hina Munawar has taken guidelines from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on what the players’ stance should be during the India clash.
