Motorists are facing severe delays with a busy motorway closed in both directions due to a lorry fire.
A car transporter carrying electric vehicles has burst into flames on the M5. Drivers are caught in the chaos between Cullompton services and Exeter, with emergency services at the scene of the blaze this morning.
National Highways said: "The M5 in Devon is closed in both directions between J28 (Cullompton) and J29 (Exeter) due to an HGV fire. A car transporter carrying electric vehicles has caught fire, Devon & Cornwall fire and rescue are at scene and the road has been closed while they tackle the fire." 09:11 Tim Hanlon
