The spate of deaths has sparked outrage, with villagers blocking the highway in protest against the administration’s failure to act.

Local reports reveal that four people have died in the last two days, with addicts injecting narcotic tablets dissolved in water. Over the years, the village has recorded nearly 85 drug-related deaths, transforming its identity from a “village of soldiers” to one plagued by addiction.
