FORMER NBA star Lawrence Moten has died aged just 53.
The former Grizzlies and Wizards guard was found at his home in Washington D.C on Tuesday.
Moten’s daughter Lawrencia confirmed her father’s passing, per Syracuse.com .
No cause of death has yet been confirmed.
But there are no reports of foul play.
Moten starred for Syracuse between 1991 and 1995, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer.
Nicknamed 'Poetry in Moten', he was prolific at the rim and scored double figures in 118 of 121 collegiate games.
Moten was drafted in the second round by the then Vancouver Grizzlies in 1995.
He spent three seasons in the NBA before heading into coaching.
