New Delhi, Oct 01: Navi Mumbai International Airport, set to open on October 8, is described by Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, as a “monument shaped by thousands of hands and hearts.”

He acknowledged the contributions of differently-abled colleagues, construction workers, and staff during a meeting ahead of the inauguration. The airport will feature a 3,700-metre runway, modern passenger terminals, and advanced air traffic control systems, handling up to 2 crore passengers annually.

It is strategically located near key transportation hubs in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and has received the necessary Aerodrome Licence for operations, with airlines like IndiGo and Air India Express planning to offer flights.
