Joy McGill remembers talking to a senior Oklahoma woman who had developed a relationship with a man on the internet.

"It wasn't in a romantic way," she said. "I think she was just looking for a friend. This was someone who told her he was working on an oil rig out in the middle of the ocean and really didn't have anyone to talk to, so they began exchanging messages."
