Spain has unveiled new travel regulations affecting British holidaymakers, but over-70s will be exempt. Each year, millions of sun-seeking Brits descend on Spain to bask in the sunshine, immerse themselves in the local culture and explore its historical sites, but most will soon have to pay a fee to qualify for entry to the country.

Brits, along with other non-EU travellers, will soon be required to pay a €20 (£17.45) entry fee to gain access to Spain and 29 other European nations under a new travel scheme, reports the Express .
